They say “third time’s the charm.” Well, that’s certainly true for my interview with Kris Straub. Stymied two times before by the internet, he and I conquered the evil ether-space and had a great talk about his early influences, “Starslip,” “Chainsawsuit,” “F Chords,” “Blamimation” and the 53,248 other things he’s involved in. Also, I get his take on the National Cartoonist Society Reuben Awards night that he and several other notable webcartoonists attended where bridges were built, fences mended and booze drank. Great interview Tom. Not that this is a deviation from the norm. It was really interesting to hear Kriss talk about his work with a bit more of a serious tone than I’ve heard on other podcasts. I am especially interested to see if he, and the other members of the Half Pixel clan follow through with a companion to How To Make Webcomics.
