[...] I recently appeared on a podcast in which much of the discussion centered around the (then) imminent release of Episode I in 3D. Memories of the original release were shared and finally, thirteen years after the fact, I was able to articulate accurately my reaction to seeing the movie for the first time after being, quite literally, a Star Wars fan my entire life (I was born the same year the original Star Wars was released): I didn’t know I was disappointed.
Tom,

Stop with the NCS nominations and start picking lottery numbers or something?

You’re ‘smokin hot’ with topical cartoonists!!!

20 years in newspapers syndication? What an amazing achievement!

Brian your thoughts/tips/techniques are inspiration to wannabe cartoonists like myself.

Thanks for sharing.

Wiley's advice about following the Universe is one to be posted above every cartoonist's drawing board. And his observations about the NYT are undeniable.

The Lemon List added a nice twist too. Wasn't a fan of the movie, but any story about a heroic cartoonist is fun to hear.

If finally had a chance to listen to this one and the interview with Frank Jordan. It was a great double feature! It's a pleasure to hear from somebody like Frank who has been so consistently good for a long time.

And I realized that Wiley occupies the same part of my brain reserved for people like The Beatles, Picasso, and many others. I don't know if this makes me a total comics nerd or if it makes Wiley just that good, but I suspect his non-stop talent for the past 20+ years is the reason he's in there. I always learn so much from an interview with him and this was as enlightening as usual.

And I really love the Lemon List! I hope he continues to make those.

I look forward to hearing this interview. Frank's comic is brilliant! He is a very friendly cartoonist that I found out about through social media. Plus he is a major re-tweeter of my own comics.
